For the first time in the world literature, this monograph presents in full the multistage and generalized model of flotation that the author proposed more than thirty years ago, and shows what can be built upon it.The book follows the model through the whole range of its applications: the kinetics of ionic flotation and of wastewater purification by flotation defecating; the theoretical bases of electro-flotation on hydrogen, on oxygen and on both; models of complex purification processes; the intensification of pressure-head flotation with carbon dioxide; flotation decanters and columns, jet and ejection aerators; the dehydration of sediments; and the extraction of target products, from the thickening and inactivation of microorganism biomass to the recovery of metals from technogenic waters.A substantial part of the work is devoted to equipment.
