He established the Center for Advancing Pediatric Excellence (at Levine Children s Hospital), which was the physician enterprise and hospital-based program for improving the quality and safety of children. Over his academic career, Dr Feld has been Professor of Pediatrics at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine, UNDNJ Newark School of Medicine, University of North Carolina s at Chapel Hill and Florida International University School of Medicine. His main area of research was kidney disease and diabetes. He has edited several books for the American Academy of Pediatrics and the monograph on Pediatric Quality for Pediatric Clinics of North America.
