Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Jebediah Rufus is a hilarious illustrated story celebrating American folklore, good old-fashioned storytelling, and life in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. Take a trip with our hero-the narrator-deep into the wilderness where the legendary figure JEBEDIAH RUFUS lives and chases off trespassers . . . and you won't believe the surprise he has waiting on them! Crafted by graphic artist Joshua Gibson and illustrator Steve McAllister, Jebediah is a feast for the eyes and ears and is sure to bring belly laughs to all who read it.___________ Author Joshua Gibson originally wrote this fantasy story at age 12, before the world required he portray a more "mature" front. Now in his 40's, he decided it was high time to let the silly back out. Until now, Jebediah Rufus has mainly been an oral storytelling performance, from campfire hangs with friends to a full summer of recitation at Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico. Now finally developed into a graphic storybook, you and your kids can read it any time and share in the fun! Jebediah Rufus: An Appalachian Tall Tale is written and illustrated as a new folk tale, a modern day take on southern and Appalachian folklore. But there is an unexpected developments in this story, and trust us.it's the kind of plot twist you will never forget! Stay tuned after the story for some (ahem) educational content and more laughs. If you love American folklore, traditional stories, adventure, tall tales, and old-timey American and Appalachian culture, you will love this fun children's book. ***PARENTAL WARNING: Be sure to preview the content prior to reading: story contains potty humor, very mild language and a main character's untimely death (But hey, it wouldn't be an American folk tale without some dark topics!) This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability. McAllister, Steve (illustratore).…
