DESCRIPTION - Claude Pelieu's 1973 anti-novel Kali Yug Express is a slice of the 1970s that offers both Burroughs-influenced surrealism and French postmodern literature. Pelieu was in fact an associate of William Burroughs and Kali Yug Express represents a continuation of the cut-up experiments begun more than a decade earlier by Brion Gysin. The book appeared in both French and German back in the 1970s, but this is its first publication in English, made by Pelieu's second wife Mary Beach many years ago. Pelieu and Beach were also involved in translating many of the Beat poets - including Burroughs - into French. inventory #14117 Very Good in Hardcover. No Dustjacket. Signed by Charles Plymell.
