Rane has presented recitals at some of the known institutions like Nehru Center, London, U.K. the Benares Hindu University, Varanasi, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bombay, I.T.C. Sangeet Research Academy, Calcutta and Kala Academy, Goa etc. in India. Pt. Rane was invited by Cambridge University in 2018, in recognition of his book 'Learning Hindustani Classical Vocal Music ' for its Library. Later this book was accepted by the Oxford University Library, U.K. and Library of U.S. Congress, Washington, D.C., U.S.A. Pt. Rane has been painting portraits for the last 40 years. He has painted portraits of distinguished personalities like the former Ruler of Oman, Sultan Qaboos, former Prime Minister of India Mrs. Indira Gandhi, U.S. Republican Senator Mr. Peter Inverso of New Jersey, U.S.A., Industrialist, Late Mr. Shriyans Prasad Jain connected with The Times of India Group of Companies, Swami Chinmayanand for Chinmaya Mission of New Jersey, U.S.A., Swami Vivekanand for Vivekanand Center, Kanyakumari, South India.
