Le bouddhisme ayant ete aucentre de ses recherches erudites, il a semble juste a l'Academie et laSociete asiatique, qui conserve dans ses archives ses papiersscientifiques et une precieuse documentation epistolaire, de dedier a lamemoire d'Alfred Foucher une journee d'etude consacree aux progres de larecherche sur le bouddhisme.
