Some of these techniques are physical and chemical alteration and special foundation techniques in the form of tension-resistant foundations. This monograph presents experimental work on the effective use of lime and fly ash in reducing swelling and shrinkage of expansive soils. The tests conducted to find out swell potential and swelling pressure and other important engineering properties of the expansive clay samples blended with lime and fly ash have yielded useful results. 80 pp. Englisch.
