Our empirical research aims at contributing to the understanding of what critical parameters are influencing the use of ICT in the classroom. For this purpose, we devised a Corporate Learning Environment, that included both a Learning Management System and an E-portfolio with customising capabilities for the learner, to use in a blended design. Our subject learners and control group were Upper Secondary Education Spanish students in the context of English as a Foreign Language. We focused our research on the overt use of strategies to improve their reading skills. The findings are promising. 364 pp. Spanisch.
