Thus, Remote Sensing and GIS serve as a useful technique to catalogue the changes in the glacier and understanding the climate change phenomenon. The results in this study show that satellite data can be used for extracting the quantitative and qualitative parameters of glaciers. The analysis of satellite imageries has led to the identification of various geomorphological features, consequently revealing the global climate change scenario and its long-term implications. 88 pp. Englisch.
