Die Aufgabe dieser Arbeit ist dreifacher Art: Erstens soll versucht werden, eine geschlossene und überzeugende Interpretation des Denkens Blaise Pascals zu entwickeln. Zweitens wird sich daran eine wiederum auf Pascal auffußende Darstellung der Sprach- und Erkenntnisproblematik anschließen; es ist klar, dass die ersten beiden Teile der Aufgabe als Interpretationen zusammengehören und sich hauptsächlich durch das Niveau ihrer Argumentation unterscheiden.
