The area is primarily a tribal hamlet occupied by Hindu Malaaraya Tribe, but other categories of people belonging to general and Dalit community also inhabit the place. Participatory appraisal was conducted in Kombukuthy on 8 April 2018 by a team of 14 trained volunteers and 4 community volunteers with the participation of around 100 villagers. The tools of PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) used in the study were, Daily Routine Analysis, Social and Resource Mapping, Inflow and outflow chart of community resources, Problem Tree analysis and Focus Group Discussion (theme: educational backwardness) 52 pp. Englisch.
