Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The Matatu sector in Kenya is a key driver of the economy that keeps recording significant positive contributions and growth. The sector is an employer of thousands of Kenyans who would otherwise be unemployed. The sector is hugely… responsible for the flexible movement of Kenyan workers and the general public as they go about their daily activities in an effort to contribute to nation building. In terms of absolute figures, the sector contributed about 3% to the country's GDP in 2008, 3.5% in 2009 and 5.9% in 2010. The Sacco movement within the Matatu sector was introduced in 2010 and since then, the sector has witnessed decrease in growth. In 2011, the sector generated a GDP of 5.0%, 4.7% in 2012, 4.5% in 2013 and 4.2% in 2014 (KNBS, 2014).According to the economic survey report of 2015, this statistical analysis shows a trend of a decrease in growth in the sector between 2010 and 2014 in the economy. This study seeks to find out causes of decline in performance since introduction of Matatu Saccos in Kenya. The previous studies on strategic planning process and performance have focused on banks and Saccos but no study has been done on Matatu Saccos in Kenya. 88 pp. Englisch.
