The researcher adopted an exploratory research design in undertaking the study with purposive sampling used in selecting the respondents when administering questionnaires.Data was analysed through the use of pie charts, Tables, bar graphs and figure that were generated through Statistical Package for Scientists (SPSS) version 23. Findings obtained have shown that job satisfaction factors of public service workers with particular reference to council workers in Zambia at Lusaka City Council (LCC) were mainly salary structures, career growth opportunities, and human resource policies and leaderships styles. The human resource policies of the Lusaka City Council (LCC) were found to be very effective with regards to increasing employees' motivati 52 pp. Englisch.
