Therefore, this book proposes an approach to the productive situation of avocado in the Dominican Republic, considering the methods and tools in use, in contrast with the best practices of harvesting, storage and transportation of the crop. The conclusions highlight the importance of reviewing and systematizing processes, from a management perspective, for increasing value in each of the links that make up the production chain. As an added value, engineering solutions to the problem of low productivity levels in the fruit industry are proposed. 80 pp. Englisch.
