The existing institutional building considered for annual energy analysis is further designed using ECBC User Guide and ASHRAE Standard 90.1, an energy conservation code. After analyzing the output results of three respective cases, ECBC design building is found to be more energy efficient, as it consumes 10% lesser energy than the existing institutional building and 0.6% lesser than the ASHRAE building. The design buildings are rated using GRIHA, a green building rating system. By scoring 66 points in GRIHA rating system, designed buildings are rated as GRIHA 2-Star Building. At last suggestions are provided for the improvement of GRIHA rating. 104 pp. Englisch.
