Females need good core strength to stabilize the body, proper balance and stability. The benefits of good core conditioning program will decrease the possibility of back and neck pain, incontinence, rupture discs, muscle ligamentous strains. Several problems and orthopedic injuries are a result of poor core strength.METHOD- The total number of students in this study were 30 female college students between 18-25 years out of which 15 subjects were included each in floor exercises (n=15) and Swiss ball group (n=15). The core strength was assessed (pre and post intervention) using Flexor endurance test and Extensor endurance test.RESULT- After the analysis, the results revealed significant improvement of core strength in both the groups (p< 0.00). The Swiss ball group showed significant results when compared with floor exercise group.CONCLUSION- The study showed beneficial results in both the groups, the results reflected that Swiss ball group had better improvement of core muscle strength than the floor exercise group. 92 pp. Englisch.
