The purpose of this work was to demonstrate the risks that companies run with the use of authentication technology using fingerprint biometrics. Molds and copies of the fingerprints were developed using silicone, and then tests A, B and C were carried out (on three optical biometric readers from different brands, each of which has its own system): Biometric readers A and C were vulnerable to the tests carried out with the silicone finger.
