In this book I show the current social transformations in the world of Chiloé, through the visibility of the lives of women identified not only with marriage and children, as was the case with their mothers and grandmothers, but who have begun to learn about other facets of social and cultural life, which has led them to achieve greater personal achievements, structuring their own lives from the world of paid work and changes in marriage and family.
