Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The contribution of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) is essential to the conservation and preservation of the world's ecosystems and to the socio-economic development of local populations. The concept of Marine Protected Areas gained momentum in the 2000s as the international community became increasingly aware of the massive destruction caused by human activities and their sometimes irreversible consequences for the environment. The construction of Marine Protected Areas, as a legal and administrative tool, obeys the dialectic of public policy. Consequently, this study will first identify how marine protected areas are established, how they are operated and managed by local stakeholders, and then identify proposals and measures for resolving conflicts that local populations are accustomed to using them to promote social cohesion in the environment. In order to understand the problems associated with fisheries land management, the methodology is based on documentation relating to the management of fisheries land resources in the two marine protected areas in our area. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
