Har Dayal's life ended in Philadelphia in 1939. He left behind a lasting legacy, with a commemorative stamp issued in his honor in 1987. His works cover topics such as education, culture, and religion, including "Bodhisattva Doctrines" on Buddhist Sanskrit literature.
