The author wrote this book because, during a detailed research on the Leningrad Variation in the Dutch Defence with the development of Black with 7 . tjjc6 (ECO A89),he noticed that many fascinating games had been ignored both by ECO and by subsequent monographs. The aim of this book is that of providing the reader with all of the material he has managed to gather during his years of research. Throughout these years he purchased the various monographs on the Dutch Defence. However, with great dismay he noticed in all of them that, with regard to the variations dealt with in the present book, the same fonts and the same games were always used. Games that he had found in magazines and which were of great interest were completely ignored!
