This book has five chapters. Each chapter deals with an application of Two-Phase blood flow model. For the modelling purpose blood has been considered as a homogeneous mixture of two-phases: first phase is blood cells (RBCs) and another is that of plasma. RBCs are packed in a semipermeable membrane. It help them to change their shape and size. Hence both phases shows liquid nature. Usually, blood behaves like non-Newtonian fluid due to high concentration of RBC (Except large diameter blood vessels). Mathematical formulation of the Fahraeus-Lindqvist effect for the capillary blood flow has been given in the first chapter. Mathematical study and simulation on stenosed carotid arteries with the help of two-phase blood flow model discussed in the second chapter. Fluctuation in blood flow for a person suffering from this disease with the help of hemoglobin and blood pressure is also given. Third chapter deals with the mathematical modelling in two-phase arterial blood flow during major beta thalassemia. Fourth and fifth chapters both are based on two-phase blood flow through arterioles in case of major beta thalassemia. Fluctuation in blood flow during the disease has been shown in both the chapter.
