Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - TRANSCENDING AS A SPECIES WILL NOT BE AN OPTION The role of humanity in the future is uncertain. We are increasingly confronted with unsettling questions: what do we lack to become the species that truly conquers the cosmos Are we on the right path Will reaching Mars be enough What if we a…re not alone or worse, what if we are invaded Human beings are a complex system governed by the same laws that shape the universe, both at the microscopic and macroscopic levels. Yet we are only beginning to understand the relationships between our bodies, our minds, and the very fabric of space itself. Despite being a fragile species with biological limitations that become more evident over time we possess unique capabilities that can be enhanced. These capabilities could grant us extended time and access to vast knowledge, becoming the defining traits of our species and paving the way toward transcendence into type 2 humans. How will we make that transition That is precisely what will be explored throughout this work through a philosophical and technological lens, but also through documented scientific cases that may offer insight into how it could be possible. What is clear is this: Earth will not be our eternal home. Multiple threats ranging from environmental crises to self-destruction driven by technological advancement and the immense power of nuclear energy could one day jeopardize our survival. We do not know when, but it will happen. For this reason, transcending as a civilization and expanding beyond our solar system is not a choice, it is an obligation if we aim to ensure the continuity of our species. And although space, other planets, and the universe itself present enormous challenges, we must find ways to overcome them. No one else will do it for us, and time does not stop. P.S. Religion is not addressed here in order to avoid discomfort or division.
