Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - The 'You Can Make it!' Children's Book initiative aims to inspire early elementary students to explore the exciting world of manufacturing. The goal is to introduce the county's youngest citizens into a career in manufacturing. Through a beautifully illustrated story rooted in the local co…mmunity, the book will help children see that manufacturing is not just machines and factories, but creativity, teamwork, and innovation in action. This project has been developed and published by the Economic Investment Fund of Henderson County (EIF), a sister organization of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development (HCPED). The organization's Made In Henderson County program works to create and implement workforce development strategies that are integral to the manufacturing economy in the county. The project will produce and distribute copies of the book to every early elementary student in a specific grade (grade to be determined) in Henderson County Public Schools (HCPS), reaching students at the formative ages when curiosity and imagination are most alive. The story introduces readers to a young, curious character who discovers how everyday items are made right here in this community. Along the way, the book highlights local manufacturing sectors, celebrates the pride of craftsmanship, and shows that careers in manufacturing can be both rewarding and meaningful.By combining storytelling, illustration, and local relevance, this project is a true cradle-to- career workforce development approach, unique to Henderson County. Statistics show students explore careers to which they are exposed. With over 5% of the manufacturing workforce retiring within the decade, this book will inspire interest for the future workforce. Smith, Jasmine (illustratore).
