Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. The narrator carried a deep, unwavering longing in their heart for a cat, yearning for a furry companion that could be black, white, gray, orange, or brown. This wasn't just a casual wish; they actively searched everywhere, from their own backyard to the local animal shelter, but were met with disappointing silence. Through changing seasons and the passage of time, the hope remained, crystallizing every year into the singular wish whispered before blowing out birthday candles: a cat. Even as big and small presents with cat-themed wrapping paper were unwrapped, the emptiness of not finding a living, breathing pet inside was felt acutely. The narrator didn't desire a bike or toy trucks; they yearned for a creature, even a "grumpy, stompy, or scared" one, to love, knowing they could offer the comfort needed to make it feel better. Finally, the dream was realized when their father held a tiny miracle: a beautiful, soft cat with adorable brown eyes, a cinnamon swirl, and black tiger stripes. This precious gift, later named Mr. Mittens after a trip to the vet, marked the start of a loving commitment. Every purchase at the pet store, the collar, the named bowl, the harness, and the food, was a promise of care, sealing the child's joy and anticipation of giving Mittens a long and happy life. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
