To earn income, she was a part-time creative writing instructor at the Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) in Springfield, and became a founding member of the Missouri State Poetry Society in 1997. As a stand-up comic poet, she was known as "Professor Parrott," but is best-known as co-founder of the National Annual Senior Poet Laureate Poetry Competition for American Poets aged 50 and older. She is a social justice advocate who now lives in California. This is the first of a collection of Meeting the Muse books combining her teachings and previously published and award-winning poems. Wanda's favorite salutation is now used by poets around the world: "May the Muse be with You!" This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
