Binding is slightly shaken, from having been opened to the plate-pages again and again. All 45 plates are present, but two are detached and one of those is a bit edgeworn. But they're all here. The book (and the plates) are a pocket-sized 3.5 x 5.5 inches. The plates are quite nice. Some show single species, some show several related species in the manner of a modern field guide. There is an early ownership name on the front free endpaper. Published nearly-simultaneously in New York and London. The London edition much harder to fine.
