Matthew Holbeche Bloxam was a Warwickshire antiquary and amateur archaeologist. In 1831 be became the clerk of the cour in Rugby, and while visiting country churches to consult their registers in t course of his work, Bloxam began making the observations which led to his subsequent knowledge of ecclesiastical architecture.
