Notre exemplaire est en bon état cependant que le premier plat de couverture est complètement détaché (voir les images) alors que le dernier plat tient par les cordons. L'intérieur est en très bon état ; complet, propre et solidement relié sans pages lâches et sans roussure. Juste une trace de mouillure au coin supérieur droit de la page de faux-titre et de même pour la page de titre. Celle-ci montre d'ailleurs deux anciennes inscriptions. On trouvera une autre inscription sur la première page d'Introduction et une dernière, très discrète, à la page 74. D'autres notes manuscrites apparaissent sur la dernière page vierge. Un document d'époque rare.

La reliure très ancienne est en assez bon état dans la mesure ou elle est propre, complète et solide même si l'on note une courte fissure de 1 cm à la charnière supérieure du premier plat. Quelques traces d'usure au cuir. L'intérieur est en très bon état, solidement relié, sans pages lâches et presque sans roussure au pages. Cependant les pages de gardes ainsi que la première et dernière page montrent de fortes roussures. On notera aussi sur la première page de garde une très ancienne signature "Joseph Alexis Beaudry, Varennes". Ce personnage serait né en 1836 et aurait probablement acquis ce volume plus tard lors de ses études.
