This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -In the current context of the labor market, Information Technology (IT) has played an important role in the business context. In this context, the objective of this work was to know the professional profile of the egresses of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) of Quixadá/CE, before the job market. The study was carried out using the Knowledge Discovery Technique (KDD), with cluster and descriptive analyses, with the help of the WEKA tool. The data for this work were collected through a questionnaire applied to a population of two hundred and forty-nine (249) graduates, and one hundred and eighteen (118) answers were obtained, approximately forty-seven point four percent (47.4%) of the possible answers. From the analyses, it was observed a strong tendency for IS graduates to have better salaries, easier to enter the job market, with better career plans, to the detriment of ES graduates. 52 pp. Englisch.
