Based on the geographic descriptions found in the beloved children's series first created by Frank L. Baum, each image offers a useful guide to some of the many adventures that took place in the Land of Oz. The sheets appear to be custom recreations that first appeared in different books of the series. The Map of the Marvelous Land of Oz is one of the earliest and was likely created by Baum himself. It first appeared in 1914 as the endpapers of Tik-Toks of Oz and provided the foundation for all cartographic expressions of the fantastical world. Diagram of a Journey (Not a True Map) was included in Lucky Bucky in Oz, written by John R. Neil in 1942. The remaining two were created by Neil as full-page inserts for The Scalawagons of Oz (1941). Check out David Maxine's awesome blog for more information on the cartography of Oz." Sheet Width (in) 11 Sheet Height (in) 17 Condition Description Four monochrome printed sheets on thick textured paper. Each with varying (but adequate) margins and a bit of spotting from the replication process. Near fine condition overall.
