Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. 1st Edition. 144+(3)+(xxxiv) pages. Numerous woodcut illustrations each on tinted paper, yellow end papers. Black pebbled cloth binding with bright gilt lettering. First edition with errata at the end, and apparently rare with the foldout map in the pouch inside the rear board (see my photos). No author listed, but identified as Winslow Cossoul Watson in Plum's "Adirondack Bibliography" (#1201). Fine condition, a remarkably well preserved copy inside and out. Very neat owner name top corner of the front free end paper, "Lake George Sept. 14, '71.".

144 pp. plus Index and ads. With 14 engraved plates printed on salmon-colored paper and two large folding maps in pocket at rear. 12mo, publisher's gilt-lettered brown cloth. First edition. Some tanning to the maps with have several old repairs; a clean, tight and sound copy. Most copies either are lacking the map or have only one map. The two in this copy are: "Map to Accompany A Descriptive and Historical Guide to the Valley of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks" and "Colton's Map of the New York Wilderness.published to Accompany Murray's Adventures in the Adirondacks." Both maps were compiled by W. W. Ely.
