Book is tight, square, but does have library stamps on the front endpapers and checkout dates on RFFP. Book Condition: Good; circular moisture stain on the front board; suntanned spine; wear through fabric at tips; dust soiling to the textblock top; white tape repaired split in front inner hinge. No DJ but DJ flaps are glued to the front and rear pastedowns. Clean internals. Rear inner hinge is sound and not split; front inner hinge is repaired. 246 pp 8vo. This book reads convincingly and appears to be a genuine record of what can happen to a simple married man, and an almost respectable girl, who find themselves caught in perfectly plausible yet terrifying complications caused by mere accident. This story concerns the escapades of two girl hitch-hikers, a traveling sailesman, the police, and a thief and murderer. Unwittingly these people are rushed into tragedy and melodrama on an American roadside. A clean presentable copy.
