Emerging during a period of global upheaval and societal transformation, this book delves into a critical analysis of the burgeoning film industry and its profound impact on cultural values and morality. The author raises concerns about the industry's focus on themes of crime, sex, and violence, particularly in the context of the "talkies" revolution, arguing that such content poses a significant threat to the moral fabric of society. Supported by real-life examples and statistics, the author presents a compelling case against the film industry's exploitation of base instincts and its potential to erode traditional values, especially among young and impressionable audiences. The book explores the industry's global reach, highlighting its influence on perceptions of Western civilization in other parts of the world, and questioning the role of censorship and the responsibility of filmmakers in shaping public opinion. This thought-provoking work challenges readers to consider the ethical implications of the film industry's practices and its far-reaching consequences for individuals and societies alike. The author's insights remain relevant, urging us to reflect on the power of visual media and its role in shaping our understanding of the world around us. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Fotografia
Vintage borderless double weight photograph of actor William Holden and camera operator Albert Myers from the set of the 1968 film. Photograph belonging to camera operator Myers. British born Albert Myers, usually credited as Al Myers, was a camera operator and camera crew member in Hollywood for over 50 years beginning in the late 1920s. He is credited in 30 films from 1927 to 1978, and assuredly worked on many more films uncredited during that time. His credits include "The Virginian" (1946), "Carmen Jones" (1954), "The Man with the Golden Arm" (1955), and "The Defiant Ones" (1958). Based on the true story of a specially trained unit of misfit American and Canadian soldiers. When the mission for which they were trained for is canceled, the team is given the seemingly impossible task to capture Mt. La Difensa, and prove their merit. Set in America, England, and Italy, shot on location in Utah and Italy. 10 x 8 inches. Light edgewear and a small faint crease to the left, else Near Fine.
