Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is a fascinating journey into the mind of a devil as he embarks on a tour of 19th-century England. The author takes a unique approach to exploring the themes of good and evil, sin and redemption, through the perspective of a mischievous and cynical devil. The devil observes and interacts with humans from all walks of life, from the pious to the corrupt, revealing their hidden vices and virtues. The book delves into the complex social and political landscape of the time, touching on issues such as poverty, inequality, and religious hypocrisy. It offers a satirical commentary on the human condition, highlighting our capacity for both great kindness and unspeakable cruelty. The devil's witty and often irreverent observations provide a fresh and thought-provoking lens through which to examine our own society. Ultimately, this book is a compelling exploration of the eternal struggle between good and evil within us all. It challenges our assumptions about morality and forces us to confront the darkness that lurks beneath the surface of even the most seemingly virtuous individuals. Through its rich imagery and insightful prose, this book offers a profound meditation on the nature of humanity and our place in the cosmos. Seymour and engraved by Evans and Welch. This being another satire expanded from "The Devil's Thoughts" .
