Shiny dustwrapper not price-clipped ($6.95) with Author and Title lettering in large white letters on most of front cover, superimposed upon background photo-illustration on full front cover of an ancient, oval-shaped, bas-relief golden-brown, object like a large jug or vessel; black and white sketch of Author by Aemilia Laracuen on full rear cover. 2" tear up the rear cover left edge and a 1/2" tear down the top of that edge, with minor tip wear at spine and cover corners: Worn locations and tears now backed with Archival tape and placed in Brodart mylar for additional protection and aesthetic appeal. Book itself was well-protected by dustwrapper, although on rear cover beneath dw there are four very superficial long scratches which do not tear the cloth and can ony be seen wiggling the book in the light just right: truly nugatory,but there you have it. Tight binding (NO creases); sharp corners (NO bumps or curls); NO remainder marks. Clean text. Previous owner name and owner location at top right ffep, that of "B. Young / Cambridge". From the Harvard Gazette (January 17, 2002) "William Clinton Burriss Young '55, formerly associate dean of freshmen in Harvard College, died in Cambridge on Jan. 8 after a long illness. He was 68 years old. / For more than 35 years, as a proctor in Massachusetts Hall, assistant dean, and associate dean, Young guided successive cohorts of incoming Harvard undergraduates, helping many of them to survive their first year in and around the Yard. / "It may sound simplistic to say we will never see another like him," said Dean of Freshmen Elizabeth Studley Nathans, "but that is in fact true.
