Unpublished movie script; consists of a bound reproduction of the typescript; no title page; with a sizable bunch of blank pages at the end to make it fatter. The spine is titled "Dirty Dingus Magee" with the date 1970 below, gilt with gilt decorations. The front cover is titled "Dirty Dingus Magee" with the name "Harry Carey Jr." below, gilt with gilt decorations. Carey (1921 - 2012) was a prolific actor in movies and television westerns; in Dirty Dingus Magee he played the part of Charles Stuart. The star of the show, Frank Sinatra, probably had the script bound for Carey; his card is laid in: "With the compliments of Frank Sinatra". The movie is a comedic "anti-western" or revisionist western that subverts the western mythos, based on the novel "The Ballad of Dingus Magee" by David Markson. Joseph Heller, Of "Catch 22" fame, helped write the script. Book.
