Untouched inside with modest signs time and imperfections, including a single page corner missing and an 2 mm hole on same page. Wear outside on calf corners, spine edges and spine, where part of spine top is missing and part of spine bottom is partly detached. Five black (burnt?) spots on spine. Imperfections on endpapers.

Simson was the foremost Scottish mathematician of the 18th century. His edition of Euclid, first published in 1756, was the basis of all subsequent printings until the beginning of the 20th century.
