Originally published anonymously in 1660 under the title: "An exact and most impartial accompt of the indictment, arraignment, trial, and judgment (according to law) of nine and twenty regicides, the murtherers of His late Sacred Majesty of most glorious memory," this edition contains a preface and an appendix of speeches, prayers, etc. that were not part of the 1660 edition. Binding rubbed along edges, with head and tail of spine partly chipped. Pasted on inside of front cover is the armorial bookplate of John Rolle, 1st Baron Rolle (1750-1842) with the motto: Nec Rege, Nec Populo, Sed Utroque (Not with the king, not with the people, but with both). Previous owner's name in ink at upper margin of bookplate (Leland Carlson). Moderate offsetting / foxing to very first and very last leaves. Binding in overall good-, interior in very good condition.
