The song was written by record producer Robert Lange, his wife at the time, country music singer Shania Twain, and long-time Bryan Adams guitarist Keith Scott, and was produced by Lange. This track shows Britney explaining to her love that he shouldn't let her hear everything else from other people and should tell everything straight to her as she exclaims 'don't let me be the last to know.' The single was nominated at Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in the category of 'Best Song' in 2002.
