Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Ever since he was in kindergarten, Leo has had a hard time making friends. He always has so much going on in his head, and his words come out so slowly that the other kids just run off to play without listening to him. Things are different after he meets Ralph. Ralph is from a different planet, and he loves outer space, just like Leo. The two friends make up their own language and invent other planets. As the early school years go by, Leo and Ralph have such a good time together that Leo's parents worry that he is not making other friends. When Leo's mother gets a job in another town, Leo reluctantly agrees to say goodbye to Ralph. Leo is in a new school now, in a higher grade. But when he doesn't quite click with his real-life classmates, Ralph comes back, and this time, Leo has to keep his old friend a secret. Until, with the help of his family, his new classmates, and his new teacher, Leo is finally able to say goodbye to Ralph for good. A stellar novel about space, starting over and a friendship that's out of this world. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.

Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. Very Good, and better; see scans and description. New York: Famous Music Corporation, 1937 original copyright; this Billy Vaughn cover variant was issued in 1957. Sheet music for 'Blue Hawaii', written by Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger in 1937 for the film 'Waikiki Wedding', starring Bing Crosby and Shirley Ross. Crosby recorded the song that year; Billy Vaughn was second to record it, twenty years later in 1957. In rapid succession, such other luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Andy Williams, Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson and others covered it. Vaughn is on the cover of this edition. Tall quarto, 6 pages including covers, as numbered. Very Good, but very close to Near Fine; just very little of the inevitable age-toning to the whites, a little soil at the top right corner and on rear cover (scans), and very short slits just starting at each spine end. Otherwise, without flaw. No labels, signatures, price stickers or tears. A piece of music history. Scarce in this condition. See scans. Leph2.
