Oversize Paper with Dustjacket. First Edition. Large lavish museum catalog for a retrospective of the Italian installation artist Mario Merz that was held at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. Merz who used painting, scupture, drawing and objects to make his complex and visually exciting installation was part of an Italian art movement called Art Povera which gained some attention in the early 70's. Merz passed away in 2003. Includes essays, interviews and 100's of mostly color photos of his installations and pieces. Two or three of the last pages have very faint soft bottom corner folds. Near fine. Laid in his material for a large show of art povera held at a new york gallery in 2017. Book.
