The Mets, a National League expansion team created in the wake of the Brooklyn Dodgers' and New Giants' departure for California, played the first two seasons at the Polo Grounds before moving to Shea Stadium for the 1964 season. The program scorecard is dated April 13, 1962, with the rosters filled in for the Mets' first home game, versus the Pirates. The Mets lost 3-4 and would go on to loose a record 120 games in the '62 season. Illustrated wrappers, Year Book cover illustrated by Willard Mullin.
