Rodolphe se livra dès lors tout entier à la culture des lettres et fit paraître le Code du bonheur, ouvrage dédié à la czarine Catherine II (Genève, 1788, 6 vol. in-8°) ; le Moraliste aimable (Amsterdam, 1788, 3 vol. in-12) ; Précis des devoirs des souverains (Lausanne, 1791, in-8°)."
