There is no indication of the edition; it is presumed to be a first edtion. Original white cloth publisher's covers with blue spine lettering. The covers have some faint dampstaining and there are a few age spots (foxing) at the lower portion of the front and rear covers. There is a small previous owner sticker on the front free end paper, else this is a tight, clean and unmarked book. A very good copy indeed. Internally clean, with a rather cryptically indecipherable signed note from Cunningham laid in, also present is the ink ownership signature of Bessie Schonberg, the immensely talented and renowned choreographer and dancer whose early career as a dancer came to a sudden end due to injury, but who then continued behind the scenes in a long and distinguished career. A very handsome copy of a densely produced, if occasionally incomprehensible, work, and an impressive double association.
