Aggiungi al carrelloFirst Edition. Octavo. x, 376 pages. Maslow's copy signed by him and below his name has stated from the authors. A pioneer scholarly study that examined sensitivity training (previous writing on the topic was seen as a fad), This copy not only has the personal library stamp of A.H. Maslow with his Aubindale, Mass. address but is also signed by him. Of particular interest is chapater 6: "Sensitivity Training and Being Motivation" which notes on page 107 that the method parallels the different Maslow makes between D- (or Deficiency-) motivation and B- (or Being-) motivation. His Humanistic Psychology was characterized by concepts of a hierarchy of needs, meta needs, meta motivation, self-actualizing persons, and peak experiences. His views in 1965 on peak experiences were that LSD and psilocybin could also represent peak experiences. The book itself as a first edition is scarce but a copy signed by Maslow is of great significance for the collector. A very good copy bound in green cloth lettered in gilt, single black rule, spine lettering gilt with black rules, in a very good dust jacket showing some chipping to spine ends and corners, rear panel show wear to upper edge.
