The Dust Jacket has an orange background and a greyish image of studio pottery in the middle. The DJ is bright and clean. The book is HARDBACK and the covers are in pristine oatmeal colour, thick CLOTH covers with smart red printing re title and on spine. No marks at all. The endpapers and the title page are also totally bright and clean. The 294 pages of the book are NOT FOXED at all (nor are the outer edges of the pages) . The pages are totally bright and clean and the spine is tight. 3 colour plates; 77 half tone illustrations; and approximately 80 totally charming line drawings in the text. Age tanning to the edges and endpapers and a previous owners name to the front endpapers. Apart from a couple of detached leaves which are tipped in the contents are fine and unmarked. No d/w.

Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean.
