Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This seminal book marked a significant milestone in the application of mental tests and introduced a scale to gauge human intelligence. The invention of the Binetâ"Simon scale and its revisions by Terman and Yerkes and Bridges established a groundbreaking tool that revolutionized mental measurement and intelligence testing. This meticulously crafted book traces the evolution of intelligence testing, from its rudimentary beginnings to the development of performance tests that could bypass language barriers. It offers a comprehensive account of the various tests used, including the widely recognized Seguin Form Board, the Cube Test, and the Picture Completion Test. The author provides detailed descriptions of each test, including instructions for administration, scoring, and interpretation. Statistical data on age norms and the performance of different groups adds valuable insights into the practical application of these tests. The book also delves into the theoretical underpinnings of intelligence testing and discusses the ongoing debate surrounding the nature and measurement of intelligence. By presenting a thorough examination of performance tests and their role in assessing intelligence, this book remains an invaluable resource for professionals and students in psychology and education. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
