Während und nach seiner Ausbildung in Genf noch auf A3-Bögen, in karierten Ringbüchern während… seiner Wanderjahre, später dann finanziell bedingt auf durchweichtem Recycling-Papier schafft Landry ein geradezu Warholisches Alphabet und verwendet dazu die unterschiedlichsten Techniken wie Gouache, Tinte, Lasur, synthetischen Lack und sogar Tipp-Ex. So sehr die positive Seite der Glücksindustrie beschworen wird, stellt Landry genau deren Mechanismen durch Übertreibung bloss und der Pop wird zu einer intimen Geschichte über den Künstler selbst und seine alltägliche Umgebung. Landrys ganz eigener Schalk erfüllt die ikonischen Sujets, durchdringt sie mit seiner eher expliziten als schwelgerischen Sinnlichkeit. Und dennoch stehen sie vereinzelt und anonym in Bezug zur Welt mit den zerbrechlichen Silhouetten eines Markus Raetz.
