Condizione: Gut. 2nd printing. This is the first treatise on Lie groups in which a modern point of view has been adopted systematically: the idea of considering a continuous group as a global object instead of limiting oneself to the study of a small piece of the group as classical theory did. It has required the inclusion of an exposition of a certain number of theories which are not universally known: covering spaces of topological spaces, analytic manifolds, integration of complete systemsof differential equationson a manifold, calculus of exterior differential forms. (Klappentext) Contents: The classical linear groups- Topological groups - Manifolds - Analytic groups. Lie groups - The differential calculum of Cartan - Compact Lie groupsand their representation. Sprache / Language: en VIII + 213 Seiten. ca. 23,6 x 15,7 cm.
